Katima Mulilo's climate is characterized by mild winters and hot summers. During the winter months of May, June, and July, temperatures range from just above freezing to mid-twenties Celsius, with an average low of around 14°C. As summer approaches in August, temperatures start to rise again, reaching highs of up to 34°C by September. The hottest period is from October to November, with average high temperatures often exceeding 38°C and occasional peaks above 39°C. The months of January to March are relatively warm, but not as hot as the peak summer months.
