Linxia Chengguanzhen's climate is marked by cold winters and mild springs. Winters are harsh, with temperatures often dropping below freezing, averaging around -12°C in January, the coldest month. Spring arrives slowly, with temperatures gradually warming up from March, which sees averages ranging from -4 to 8°C, to May, where temperatures can rise into double digits. Summers are hot and dry, with July being the warmest month, but even then, temperatures rarely exceed 25°C. Autumn brings a welcome respite from the heat, with temperatures cooling down gradually until the winter chill sets in again.
