Anchorage experiences a subarctic climate with cold winters and mild summers. January and February are the coldest months, with temperatures often dropping below -25°C, while March is slightly warmer but still quite chilly. As spring approaches in April, temperatures rise to around 2°C on average, and by May and June, they can reach up to 24°C during the day. Summer months of July and August are mild, with daytime highs around 27-28°C, but nighttime lows can still dip below 1°C. Autumn brings a return to cooler temperatures, with September and October averaging around 7-3°C, before dropping again in November and December.
