Khujand experiences a continental climate with significant seasonal variations. Winters are cold, with temperatures often below freezing, but can occasionally rise above 20°C in January and February. Spring is mild and gradual, warming up quickly from March onwards, with April and May seeing temperatures reach as high as 34°C and 38°C respectively. Summers are hot, with June to August averaging highs around 40-41°C, while autumn brings a welcome cool-down, with temperatures dropping back down into single digits by October.
