Taitung's climate is characterized by mild winters, with temperatures rarely dipping below 10°C in January and February. Spring brings a gradual warming trend, with March and April temperatures rising steadily into the mid-20s. Summers are hot and humid, with June to August temperatures frequently reaching highs of over 35°C. Autumn sees a cooling trend, with September and October temperatures dropping back down towards winter levels by November. Winters are cool again, but not cold, with December temperatures ranging from around 15°C to 27°C.
