Kagoshima's winters are chilly, with temperatures often below freezing in January and December, but mild periods allow for occasional warm days. Spring arrives in March with gentle warming, and by April the city is experiencing pleasant highs around 28°C. Summer months of June to August bring sweltering heat, with temperatures frequently reaching over 35°C, while autumn ushers in a welcome respite from the summer's warmth. As winter returns in November, temperatures drop again, but not as sharply as during the coldest month of January. The mercury fluctuates throughout the year, never staying at extremes for too long.
