Mamou's climate is characterized by distinct wet and dry seasons. The region experiences a long rainy season from May to October, with July being the wettest month, receiving an average of 314 mm of rainfall. In contrast, November marks the beginning of the dry season, which lasts until March. During this period, temperatures rise significantly, especially in February, when the mercury can soar up to 36°C (97°F). The cooler months of December and January bring some relief, but still offer little respite from the heat.
