Zhaodong experiences a subarctic climate with extremely cold winters. January and February are the coldest months, with temperatures often plummeting below -30°C, while December is also quite chilly, with temperatures rarely above freezing. Spring arrives in March, bringing mild temperatures that gradually warm up to around 10°C by April. Summers are relatively short but pleasant, with July being the warmest month, though temperatures still don't rise above 33°C. Autumn months of September and October see a return to cooler temperatures, similar to those experienced during spring.
