Xi'an experiences a continental climate with distinct seasonal changes. Winters are extremely cold, with temperatures often below freezing and averaging around 1°C in January, but gradually warming up by February. Spring arrives in March, bringing mild temperatures that rise steadily throughout the month, with average highs reaching 15°C by April. Summer is hot and humid, with temperatures soaring above 30°C from May to August, while autumn brings a welcome respite, with comfortable temperatures returning in September. As winter returns, temperatures drop once more, but not as low as in January, averaging around 7°C in November before plummeting again in December.
