Wangtan experiences mild springs with temperatures gradually warming up from around 9°C in early March to an average of 12°C by the end of the month. Summer months bring hot and humid conditions, with temperatures often reaching above 30°C. Autumn is characterized by a significant decrease in temperature, dropping from the mid-20s Celsius in September to around 10°C in November. Winters are cold, with temperatures occasionally dipping below freezing point, but average temperatures range from just below 0°C to 5°C across the months of December and January.
