Shuangcheng's winters are extremely cold, with temperatures often dropping below -30°C in January and February. Spring brings a gradual warming trend, with temperatures rising above freezing by March and continuing to increase through April and May. Summer is mild, with highs rarely exceeding 33°C, but the temperature can dip back down into the teens overnight. Autumn is cool, with temperatures cooling rapidly after September. By December, Shuangcheng is once again plunged into cold winter conditions, with temperatures dropping below -20°C.
