Springs bring mild temperatures, gradually warming up to average highs of around 15°C by May. Summers are warm, with July being the hottest month, but still relatively cool compared to other parts of China, with average highs rarely exceeding 30°C. Autumn brings a slight chill again, with temperatures dropping back down into single digits by November. Frosts and snows can occur as early as October and as late as March.
