Kargilik experiences a continental climate with distinct seasonal variations. In spring, temperatures gradually warm up, ranging from around 4-8°C in April and May, with an average of 6°C. Summer is hot and dry, with temperatures often soaring above 20°C, occasionally reaching as high as 25°C in June and July. Autumn brings a welcome respite from the heat, with temperatures dropping to around 10-12°C in September and October, averaging 11°C. Winters are cold and snowy, with temperatures plummeting to -5 to 0°C in December and January, making it one of the coldest regions in China.
