Daqing experiences mild springs with temperatures gradually warming up. By April, the mercury rises to an average of around 14°C, while May sees highs of about 21°C and lows of 8°C. Summer months are warm but not scorching hot, with July highs averaging just over 28°C and August highs slightly lower at 26°C. Autumn is generally cool, with September temperatures ranging from 3°C to 17°C and October temperatures averaging around 7°C. Winters can be quite cold, with January lows dipping as low as -15°C on occasion, though February temperatures tend to be a few degrees warmer.
