Guelph's winters are cold and variable, with temperatures often below freezing but occasionally rising into the mid-range. As spring approaches, temperatures gradually warm up, becoming more consistently mild by April and May. Summers are warm to hot, with July not being present in the data but June and August reaching highs of 31C on occasion. Autumn brings a return to cooler temperatures, with September and October averaging around 12C before November's cold snap. The winter months see temperatures drop again, December averaging near-freezing conditions.
