Ostend's winters are cool and sometimes chilly, with January averaging around 4°C and December not much warmer. As spring approaches, temperatures gradually rise, reaching averages of 5-6°C in March and April. Summer months bring mild to warm weather, with July and August averaging a pleasant 17°C, while June can be quite pleasant as well with an average temperature of 16°C. Autumn is also relatively mild, with September and October experiencing cooler temperatures after the warmth of summer. By November, winter's chill begins to return, with averages dipping back down to around 8°C.
